Ideas for this project for  BCUHB at Glyn Clwyd Hospital developed from Mai's visit to the pathology and histology laboratories at the hospital. Her approach to this project was based on her observations of samples slides and petri dishes through microscopes. These ideas were then developed into a series of art workshops based on microworlds for young people living in the surrounding local community. Their microscopic investigations and studies of their immediate environments formed mini petri dish artworks which were digitally reproduced on large hoardings around the hospital. These hoardings were used to protect and help visitors navigate their way around the hospital grounds during its redevelopment.
