As part of Mai's developing practice, she established a dye kitchen in her studio.

This experimental space provides a testbed for investigation into the properties of plants and their creative potential.

 

"In the area surrounding my studio I have planted woodland, hedgerows and dye plants to support and sustain wildlife and encourage biodiversity. My findings have been shared in both online and first-hand participatory workshops".
